ISO 23537-1 Temperature Tested
ISO 23537-1 Temperature Tested
The Moondance has been temperature tested to ISO 23537-1. Ratings are based on a person wearing one long underwear layer, thermal socks, face masks, down hat, and sleeping on a 1.5 inch thick pad. Since women typically are sized smaller than men, they will have a lower tolerance resistance to colder temperatures. Industry standards use comfort ratings for female bags and limit ratings for men and unisex bags.
What do these mean?
T-Comfort: Represents the average temperature for someone who is a cold sleeper to sleep comfortably.
T-Limit: Represents the average temperature for someone who is a warm sleeper to sleep comfortably.
T-Extreme: Represents the temperature in which a person may run the risk of health damaged caused by hypothermia. Often called the survival rating, it is not recommended using the quilt at this rate.

IDFL DWR Shake Test
DownTek uses the IDFL DWR shake test to measure the water-resistance of its down. This test is a global standard for the measurement of how well DWR down performs when subjected to water. When tested, the regular down was completely submerged in 25-60 minutes while DownTek's PFC-Free Water Repellent Down lasts 1500 minutes.
Why choose products using DownTek?
